Master Sergeant Damion K. Davis

Master Sergeant Damion K. Davis is a native of Jamaica, and later migrated to New York at the age of seven. He enlisted in October 1999 and underwent recruit training with Company C, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina.

In February 1999, Master Sergeant Davis completed the Bulk Fuel Specialist Course aboard Ft. Lee, VA. In April 1999, he received orders to Bulk Fuel Company, 8th Engineer Support Battalion (ESB) for duty, where he served as a Bulk Fuel Specialist and deployed to the Mediterranean in support of the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit.

In September 2001, Master Sergeant Davis reported to Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 171, where he served as the Fuel Farm NCOIC and Platoon Sergeant. He also deployed to Korea twice in support of two different training operations.

In September 2003, Master Sergeant Davis executed PCS orders to Bulk Fuel Company, 8th ESB. During his tour of duty with 8th ESB, he deployed to Iraq in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM and then to Haiti in support of OPERATION OF UNIFIED RESPONSE. Master Sergeant Davis held several billets while assigned to 8th ESB; Platoon Sergeant, Platoon Commander, Company GySgt, Company 1stSgt, Fuel Farm SNCOIC, and Facilities Chief.

In September 2010, Master Sergeant Davis reported to MWSS-371, Marine Air-Ground Combat Center, 29 Palms, California, as the Maintenance Chief and later as the Fuels Platoon SNCOIC. During his tour of duty with MWSS 371, he went TAD twice in support of Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course, once as a Forward Arming and Refueling Point (FARP) OIC and once as a FARP Coordinator.

In June 2013, he reported to Marine Corps Logistics Operations Group, Marine Air-Ground Combat Center, 29 Palms, California. While there, he served as an instructor for the Expeditionary Logistics Instructor Course and trained company and field grade officers and senior SNCOs in expeditionary logistics. In August 2014, Master Sergeant Davis executed PCS orders to MWSS 374. 

After reporting to MWSS 374, Master Sergeant Davis was assigned as the Operations Chief for Fuels Platoon. From February 2015 to October 2015, he deployed to Kuwait with Special Marine Air-Ground Task Force in support of OPERATION INHERENT RESOLVE as the Fuel Farm SNCOIC. Upon his return, he was assigned as the Senior Enlisted Advisor for Engineer Support Company and later promoted to his current rank in February 2017.

In August 2017, Master Sergeant Davis reported to Marine Wing Support Detachment 273, where he assumed duties as the Fuels Chief. Shortly after returning from Integrated Training Exercise, he was assigned as the Senior Enlisted Advisor for Engineer Company and two months later reassigned to his current billet of Detachment Senior Enlisted Advisor.

Master Sergeant Davis' personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with a gold star in lieu of second award, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
